The first email sent from space is a common story dredged up by lazy publications on a slow news day, the story that in 1991 Astronauts on Atlantis send an email to Earth containing Terminator 2 references. The story usually stops there. But, you might have noticed I’m a bit of a nerd and I wanted to find out exactly how this occurred, I’ve built some strange hacks to solve problems, and know that computer networking can frequently devolve into digital matroshka dolls with data inside other data packaged in different ways.
